Welcome to Go Legal Ai. By creating an account or using any part of the service, you agree to the terms below. Please read them carefully — they explain your rights, your responsibilities, and the boundaries of what the platform is built to do. If you do not agree with these terms, you must not use Go Legal Ai.
1Agreement to these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding agreement between you and Go Legal Ai ("we", "us", "our") governing your access to and use of our website, applications and related services (together, the "Service"). By registering for an account, starting a free trial, or otherwise using the Service, you confirm that you accept these Terms and the documents they reference.
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a legally binding contract to use Go Legal Ai. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation to these Terms.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you in-app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms. The version and "last updated" date at the top of this page always reflect the current edition.
2Your account
To use most features you need to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You are responsible for everything that happens under your account.
- Credentials. Keep your password and any access tokens confidential. Do not share your login with others or let multiple people use a single-user account.
- Security. Notify us promptly at our support team if you suspect any unauthorised access to or use of your account.
- Accuracy. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide to the Service, including the facts you give the AI to work from.
- One person, one account. Accounts are personal to you or your organisation and may not be transferred or sold without our written consent.
We may suspend or restrict access to your account if we reasonably believe it is being used in breach of these Terms or in a way that risks harm to other users or to the Service.
3Subscriptions & billing
Go Legal Ai is offered on a subscription basis. The plans, prices and included usage are described on our pricing page, which forms part of these Terms.
Free trial
New accounts may start a 7-day free trial. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, your account automatically converts to the Go Legal Starter plan and the applicable subscription fee becomes payable. You can cancel at any time during the trial without being charged.
Fees and renewal
- Recurring charges. Paid plans renew automatically each billing cycle (monthly or yearly, as you select) until you cancel. You authorise us and our payment processor to charge your payment method for each renewal.
- Taxes. Prices are shown excluding VAT unless stated otherwise. Applicable taxes are calculated and added at checkout.
- Price changes. We may change subscription prices. We will give you reasonable notice before a price change applies to your plan, and the new price takes effect on your next renewal.
- Lawyer services. Consultations and work carried out by independent solicitors connected through the Service are charged separately and are not covered by your subscription fee.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel your subscription at any time from your subscription settings. Cancellation stops future renewals; your plan remains active until the end of the current billing period. Except where required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. Statutory cancellation rights for consumers in the UK are not affected by this clause.
4Acceptable use
You agree to use Go Legal Ai lawfully and only for its intended purpose. You must not:
- Use the Service to break any law, infringe anyone's rights, or facilitate fraud, harassment or harm.
- Upload content you have no right to share, or that contains malware or harmful code.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, copy or resell the Service, or use it to build a competing product.
- Circumvent usage limits, rate limits or security controls, or access the Service through unauthorised automated means.
- Misrepresent AI-generated content as advice from a qualified solicitor, or present it to a third party as such.
- Interfere with, disrupt or place an unreasonable load on our infrastructure or other users' use of the Service.
We may remove content or suspend access where we reasonably believe these rules have been broken. You retain ownership of the content you submit, and you grant us a limited licence to process it solely to provide and improve the Service to you. We do not use your documents to train external AI models.
5AI outputs are not legal advice
This is the most important section. Please read it in full.
The content produced by the Service is generated automatically and may be incomplete, out of date or wrong for your specific circumstances. Laws change and apply differently depending on the facts. You are responsible for reviewing any output before you rely on it, file it, or send it to anyone.
- No reliance. Do not treat AI outputs as a definitive statement of the law or as advice tailored to your situation.
- Get a solicitor when it matters. For anything significant — court deadlines, disputes, large sums, or your liberty or livelihood — consult a qualified solicitor. You can escalate to a vetted solicitor through the Service.
- Your decisions, your responsibility. Any action you take based on the Service is your own decision, taken at your own risk.
Where the Service connects you with an independent solicitor, that solicitor is solely responsible for the advice and work they provide. They — not Go Legal Ai — are your legal adviser for that engagement.
6Limitation of liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability where it would be unlawful to do so — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
Subject to that, to the fullest extent permitted by law:
- The Service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any warranty that AI outputs are accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.
- We are not liable for any loss arising from your reliance on AI-generated content, or from any action or omission you take in connection with your legal matter.
- We are not liable for indirect, special or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, revenue, goodwill, or anticipated savings.
- Our total liability to you for all claims arising out of or relating to the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the total fees you paid us for the Service in that period.
These limits apply regardless of the basis of the claim, whether in contract, tort (including negligence), statute or otherwise. If you are a consumer, your statutory rights are not affected.
7Termination
You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. Cancelling a subscription ends future billing as described in section 3.
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service, with or without notice, if:
- You materially breach these Terms, including the acceptable-use rules in section 4;
- We are required to do so by law, or by a regulator or court order; or
- Continuing to provide the Service would expose us or other users to legal or security risk.
On termination, your right to use the Service ends immediately. We will make your account data available for export for a reasonable period where practical, after which it may be deleted in line with our retention practices. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — including those on liability, governing law and the limits of legal advice — continue to apply.
8Governing law
These Terms and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, or with your use of the Service (including non-contractual disputes), are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales.
You and we agree that the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction to settle any such dispute or claim. If you are a consumer resident elsewhere in the UK, you may also benefit from any mandatory protections of the law of your home nation, and nothing here removes those rights.
9Contact us
If you have a question about these Terms, want to exercise a right under them, or need to raise a concern, please get in touch. We aim to respond within five working days.
